I’ve had the honor of working closely with Xianix in a variety of roles. From production assistant to visual designer, I’ve been in the trenches, helping to bring her artistic vision to life. One of the most powerful projects I contributed to was QUEBRADA, a performance where flamenco meets Kintsugi—the Japanese art of mending broken pottery. This show was a stunning exploration of transformation and healing, told through the raw power of flamenco.
I also worked on Fiesta Flamenca, an annual student production that brings together over 40 dancers for a two-show celebration of the next wave of flamenco talent. Celebrated at the stage of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School Theatre.
With a vision rooted in both heritage and innovation, we blended the passionate rhythms and movements of flamenco with the cultural melting pot of NYC’s ever-evolving aesthetic. The result is a dynamic and contemporary interpretation of flamenco—one that feels as much at home on the streets of Manhattan as it does in the tablaos of Spain.
